Mahalo nui loa!

Pūpū A ʻO ʻEwa is ending our publishing run. This is our very last post.

it has been a wonderful four years. What started as an idea to encourage creative expression and promote the Hawaiian language on our campus and in our community grew into a website unique to the whole UH system.

Mahalo nui loa

  • To you, the students, graduates and community members who submitted your work. Pūpū is grateful for your generosity as well as your trust. Please keep writing and making your art. The world needs OUR stories!
  • To the great people at our campus Educational Media Center for your technical, studio and web support. The quality of Pūpūʻs website and videos is a direct result of your dedication, professionalism, and expertise.
  • To the Leeward ʻohana – faculty, staff, Hālau ʻIke O Puʻuloa, student interns, Board of Student Communications, marketing office, administration, Student Life, and our generous UH Foundation donors – for your unwavering support. We drew our strength and energy from you. Mahalo!

It has been my honor to share the work of our wonderful students, graduates and community members with you.

  3. Mahalo, Pat, for this wonderful endeavor and for your vision and commitment! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this site and am surprised to realize it’s been four years. Your efforts, along with those of contributors and supporters, have brought the beauty and power of Hawaiian culture to many who would not otherwise have discovered it.

  4. Mahalo for your dedication to our people. This site will be missed as I check it often.
