Ed Ciliberti

Ed Ciliberti is proof of the proverb, “Youʻre never too old to learn.”  After a full and interesting life first in journalism and then in the military, Ed and his wife moved to Hawaiʻi in 2012. Eager to learn more about the indigenous people of his new home, he joined the Senior Visitor Program and took Hawaiian Studies at Leeward Community College. The class, taught by Professor John Laimana, inspired him so much that he composed his poem, A Hawaiian Lament.

Ed Ciliberti is indeed a lifelong learner in the truest sense of the word. He proves that it is possible to learn new things, to follow your desires and dreams, at any age.
