to tell our stories as kanaka maoli, to reclaim the right to write and tell our own stories, and to use the stage as a medium of knowledge and intellect.  Cultural identity is how we relate to people, how we connect and find common ground. In understanding our history and traditions and finding relevance in everything around us, those who have forgotten can regain their identity, and those of us who are still learning can discover it for the first time.
