Welcome to Pūpū A `O `Ewa Native Hawaiian Writing and Arts!

Pūpū A `O `Ewa showcases the best in original works – mele, poetry, short stories, oral histories, essays, memoirs, art, photographs, videos, animation, class projects, `oli, hula, music — with a unique Native Hawaiian focus from our campus and community.  We provide a creative space for writers and artists that nurtures creativity, self-expression, and innovation.

These Native Hawaiian voices challenge you to see the world in new ways.  Many of the works are in our `ōlelo makuahine, our mother language.  Native Hawaiian traditions of storytelling and song are ancient and deep, and these bonds are reflected in many of these modern works here in Pūpū.
