Ka Waʻa by Chase Haygood

Chase Haygood is a student at Leeward Community College and plans to major in nursing.  Moved by the story of Nainoa Thompson and the Hōkūleʻa, Chase created the pencil drawing, “Ka Waʻa,” of a Hawaiian voyaging canoe. He hopes his drawing will inspire others to keep traditions alive and to express themselves.
