No Naʻawao, mele by Hiʻilei Manoi-Hyde

Hiʻilei Manoi-Hyde is one of the most talented composers that Pūpū A ʻO ʻEwaʻs has showcased. Her beautiful original Hawaiian language composition, No Naʻawao, honors Alvin Naʻawao Parker, principal of Ka Waihona O Ka Naʻauao Charter School. In a wonderful video performance captured by our campus Educational Media Center, Hiʻilei, accompanied by four of her students, praises his leadership and dedication to school and to the Waiaʻane community.

For our very last post, Pūpū A ʻO ʻEwa is proud to present No Naʻawao by Leeward graduate (and current UH Mānoa student) Hiʻilei Manoi-Hyde. We canʻt think of a better way to say mahalo nui loa for your support over these years than with music by our favorite artist.
